Marketing that holds up, operations that keep up

Goldentell works only with expert witnesses. Two things about this profession set it apart from any other clients we might serve:

All marketing is discoverable

  • Any website claim, directory listing, or old LinkedIn post can become an exhibit.
  • It can be read back to the expert under oath.
  • Normal marketing wording can start a cross-examination.

The work is billed by the hour

  • Every non-billable hour has a cost.
  • Invoicing, retainer packets, and paralegal updates still need doing.
  • Most of it falls to the expert.
  • Practices often turn down work for lack of time.

Let’s make sure your practice is protected, professional and ready for what’s next.

Our mission

To help expert witnesses build credible, well-run practices without creating unnecessary risk or taking time away from billable work.

We provide marketing and operational support designed specifically around the realities of expert witness work, from maintaining a factual, defensible professional presence to creating systems that reduce the administrative burden behind every case.

Our vision

To raise the standard of how expert witness practices are marketed and managed.

We want expert witnesses to be able to grow their practices without relying on promotional marketing that can undermine credibility, and without spending valuable professional time on work that can be handled more efficiently behind the scenes.

Maria Covlea, Founder

The founder

From a sector where scrutiny comes with the job.

Maria spent much of her career in UK public-sector organizations, where anything published could be reviewed by the public or regulators. Working in that environment teaches you to review your drafts for anything someone might challenge and fix it before they do. She holds a BA in Business and Marketing and has worked with organizations in both the United Kingdom and the United States.

Where the name comes from

The name

Goldentell is about the value of telling something clearly and well.

Expertise does not speak for itself. Attorneys looking for an expert read quickly, compare candidates, and make decisions based on just a few paragraphs. If you use the right words in the right places, your career becomes clear to those who need your help. The skill is in the wording, and in this profession, that is also where the risk lies.

What happens after the wording matters just as much. If an attorney finds the right expert but has to wait three days for a reply, they have probably already started looking for someone else.

What we hold ourselves to

Our standards

  • Every claim has a source

If we can't point to where a number, credential, or statement comes from, it doesn't go out. We'd rather leave something unsaid than publish something that can't be supported.

  • You see it before anyone else does

Nothing is published or sent in your name without your approval. You stay in control of what represents you.

  • Written down, not remembered

Deadlines, commitments, and decisions are tracked in writing. That way, nothing gets lost, and you have a clear record if a question comes up later.

  • Early, not late

We follow up before deadlines and flag risks while there's still time to act. Attorneys and paralegals get updates without having to chase the expert.

  • Your time is the priority

The work we take on would otherwise pull you away from billable hours. The measure of success is how much of your time goes back to your cases.
